During my trip, I saw hundreds of disabled children tied to beds in a zombified state because there weren't enough volunteers to care for them. I ate at the governor's palace. I had my own body guards, who carried AK-47 assault rifles. I wore sandals made of tires. I had mehendi painted on my hands. Riding camels on the shores of the Indian Ocean makes you feel like you sit 13 feet up in the air. Everyday people would try to rub the color of my skin off my arm as I passed them in the streets. I went to a terrorist's trial and saw him condemned to death by firing squad. I rode in a car on a 4 lane highway in 8 lanes of traffic, most of which was water buffalo. I almost didn't make it home.
See? We all have stories that you would never expect. I call them folk's tales. It is one of my favorite things to do...hearing other people's stories. Post me one of your tales.
